DAN HULL ON FACULTY OF 14TH ANNUAL MARKETING PARTNER FORUM IN JANUARY 2007

SAN DIEGO/PITTSBURGH/WASHINGTON, DC – January 23, 2007 – Hull McGuire shareholder Dan Hull, author of the What About Clients? blog, will be speaking at the 14th Annual Marketing Partner Forum, sponsored by Hildebrandt International, on January 25, 2007 at the Four Seasons Aviara in San Diego on the subject of how law firms can use today’s internet technology to better serve existing clients and generate new business.

Hull’s blog, What About Clients?, is a popular blog focusing on client service by not only law and professional firms but the entire services industry. What About Clients? has gained international attention and stirred much debate with Hull’s “12 Rules of Client Service”--including such rules as “Represent only clients you like”, “Make sure everyone in your firm knows the client is the main event” and “Be there for clients--24/7”.

“I started What About Clients? in 2005 because I think that the level of service at even the best American law firms is often inattentive and erratic--and that troubles me--and even where service is sound, it can be a lot better”, according to Hull.

Hull will be co-paneling a discussion at the Marketing Partner Forum with six internationally known consultants and legal bloggers: Thomas Baldwin (Chief Information Officer, Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP); Larry Bodine (consultant and author of the LawMarketing Blog); David Bowerman (Director of Business Development, Preston Gates & Ellis LLP); Dennis Kennedy (technology lawyer, legal technology consultant and author of three blogs, including DennisKennedy.com); Patrick J. Lamb (Butler Rubin Saltarelli & Boyd LLP and author of blog, In Search of Perfect Client Service); and J. Craig Williams (The Williams Law Firm, PC and author of blog, May It Please the Court).

Topics the group will discuss include how modern technology can help meet the needs of general counsel, how to reinforce existing relationships and generate new leads using technology and how to avoid common traps when using new technology.

This year’s Marketing Partner Forum is the 14th, and throughout the two-day event, topics will focus on how breakthrough innovations in legal marketing and business development can help law firms cope with the growing international competition. Alan Webber, the Founding Editor of Fast Company, will be the keynote speaker, and will describe the “new rules” of law firm innovation.
