THOMAS WELSHONCE WILL ATTEND UPCOMING MEETINGS OF THE
INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS LAW CONSORTIUM IN PORTUGAL
PITTSBURGH - August 10, 2007 - Hull McGuire PC lawyer Thomas Welshonce will participate in meetings of the
International Business Law Consortium (IBLC) in Vilamoura, Portugal and Lisbon, Portugal from October 4 through October 7. Mr. Welshonce will take part in workshops on corporate finance, intellectual property, insolvency and employment law in certain key jurisdictions around the world.
IBLC
Founded in 1996 and based in Salzburg, Austria, the IBLC has 95 law and accounting firms strategically located in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Australia and North and South America. IBLC members meet at least twice a year to discuss developments in international law and business. Recent meeting topics have included mergers and acquisitions in jurisdictions in Europe, South America and the United States, international arbitration, cultural diversity, privilege and professional secrecy and choice-of-entity for clients who do business internationally.
Business Development Group
Work session of the IBLC's Business Development Group (BDG) will be held in Lisbon on October 6-7. The IBLC's most active firms, including Hull McGuire, helped establish the BDG in 1999.
BDG firms work closely together to provide quick and efficient service to each others' clients in major cities around the world. The firms range in size from 5 to 120 lawyers.
